The Peter A. Allard School of Law is committed to being one of the world's great centres for legal education and research. Every year, we draw a diverse group of students from a variety of different legal backgrounds. In an effort to increase visitors from other institutions and continue to expose students to different perspectives, the Allard School of Law has introduced summer program options for visiting international law students:
In 2013, the Allard School of Law launched the VSP in Law for university students primarily from Hong Kong and Mainland China, and now expanded across Asia and South America. The four-week program provides a unique opportunity for students to learn about Canadian law and culture through intensive course work and various social activities. Please visit our VSP in Law page for more information on the program and specific course offerings this summer. The 2015 Program will run from July 18 to August 18, 2015.
With centres in Asian legal studies, business law, feminist legal studies, Indigenous legal studies, and law and the environment, the Allard School of Law has particular strengths in many areas of law. Universities looking to create a custom UBC summer program experience for their students through tailored course offerings are encouraged to visit our Custom VSP in Law page for more information.
