On Wednesday, November 15th the Allard School of Law and Sauder School of Business hosted their 4th annual Pecha Kucha event. The theme for this years Pecha Kucha presentations was Finding True North: Pursuing happiness and empowerment on your terms. This year's presenters from the Allard School of Law included Alice Davidson (LLB '11), Derek LaCroix, QC (LLB '74), Lynda Murdoch (LLB '91), and Claire Yeung (LLB '88) as well as MC Micheal Bain (LLB '98). The Allard Law Class of 1963 celebrated their fifty five year reunion on Thursday, June 7th. The class hosted a lunch at the Shaughnessy Restaurant in VanDusen Gardens.
Class of 1988 Reunion: May 11
The Peter A. Allard School of Law Class of 1988 gathered to celebrate their 30th reunion on Friday, May 11th. The class hosted the reunion in the Coal Habour Bar at the Pan Pacific hotel.
Allard Law Alumni Association Awards: May 2
The Allard Law Alumni Association and the Allard School of Law hosted the 2018 Allard Law Alumni Association Awards on May 2nd. The Rt. Honourable Kim Campbell, BA '69, LLB '83, LLD' 00 received the Lifetime Achievement Award. Grand Chief Edward John of the Tl'azt'en Nation, LLB '79 received the Alumni Award of Distinction. Professor Benjamin Goold, LLB (Tasmania), B.C.L. (Oxford), D. Phil (Law) (Oxford) received the Alumni Award for Research. Megan Kammerer, LLB '07 received the Oustanding Young Alumnus Award. Class of 1962 Reunion: October 20 & 21
The Peter A. Allard School of Law Class of 1962 hosted their 55th reunion on Friday, October 20th and Saturday, October 21st. The class hosted a lunch at Sage Bistro with current students and faculty on Friday, October 20th, 2017, and then had a private dinner the following evening.

Brexit: Legal Impact and Future Strategies for Canadian Business: February 15, Four Seasons Hotel
The Peter A. Allard School of Law hosted this event featuring Associate Dean Ljiljana Biukovic and alumna Lorna Strong (LLB' 98) who led an in-depth conversation regarding the implications of Brexit for Canadian business and law firms, including those with a presence in the UK. Dr. Biukovic, an expert in international trade and European Union law, and London (UK) based Ms. Strong, lead counsel for HSBC Global Trade & Receivable Finance, provided an overview of the current situation, examined short- and long-term challenges and solutions, and considered the impact on global trade and the economy. This event was co-hosted by the Allard School of Law Centre for Business Law and Alumni Relations.
Celebrating the Centre for Feminist Legal Studies: February 9, Allard Hall, Terrace Lounge
The Peter A. Allard School of Law invited all alumni and supporters of the Centre for Feminist Legal Studies to a special reunion for the occasion of the Centre's 20th anniversary. The Centre recognized Susan Boyd, the inaugural Chair in Feminist Legal Studies, and Debra Parkes, the incoming chair. We also celebrated the students, alumni/ae, and faculty who contribute to feminist legal activities at the law school, in the profession, and the community. Information will be shared about the opportunity to support the ongoing work of the Centre.
