Cohabitation Project

Participants Needed for Study on Unmarried Couples Living Together

Project Description

The goal of this study is to understand how the BC Family Law Act, implemented five years ago to administer the rights and obligations of unmarried couples, impacts unmarried couples who live together. The findings will help policymakers understand whether this law serves the needs of unmarried couples or whether we need to modify the system. This study is led by Dr. Erez Aloni, Assistant Professor at the Peter A. Allard School of Law (University of British Columbia).
